Dr. Hannah Kum-Biocca

Dr. Hannah Kum-Biocca is User Experience Designer and interactive media artist. Dr. Kum-Biocca was most recently lead User Experience Designer at the Design Centre, Hewlett-Packard Inc. Dr. Kum-Biocca professional portfolio includes designs for Samsung, LG, and several tech companies. Dr. Kum-Biocca has been a lecturer-research at seven research universities and design schools in the United States, England, Korea and Singapore. She is currently Assistant Professor at Department of Design, UX Design, College of the Arts, California State University, Long Beach.  She is also Research Associate in the M.I.N.D. Labs Network both at Syracuse University and Konkuk University, Seoul. Dr. Kum-Biocca has also been a London-based interactive media artist featured in over 25 Solo and Group Exhibitions in USA, England, Korea, Australia, and Japan. Dr. Kum-Biocca's research and design projects have been supported by grants and funding from over 10 organizations including the National Research Foundation, Seoul design Foundation, Korea Telecom, PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, HP, Dell, Newhouse Endowment, and others.

Dr. Frank Biocca

Director, Media Interface & Network Design (M.I.N.D.) Labs

Dr. Biocca has pioneered virtual and augmented reality systems working on classic systems at NASA, Stanford, and the Univesity of North Carolina and patented mobile and augmented reality technologies.  A former Silicon Valley executive Dr. Biocca is now the World Class University Professor at Sungkyunkwan (SAMSUNG) University, Newhouse Chaired Professor at Syracuse University, New York, and Director of the international M.I.N.D. Labs. Dr. Biocca has explored the design, use, and effects of virtual and augmented reality systems and environments through research and books on virtual reality and presence. He has also served on the executive board or consulted with several virtual reality and augmented reality companies.

Eui Jun Jeong is an associate professor in the Department of Digital Culture & Contents and M.I.N.D. Lab at Konkuk University, Seoul Korea. He received his PhD from Michigan State University. His research has focused on gaming effects in education, advertising, consumer behavior, and HCI. His research has been published more than 70 papers in refereed journals including Journal of Advertising, Computers in Human Behavior, IJHCI, CyberPsychology Behavior & Social Networking and others.

Dr. Don D Shin

Don Dong-Hee Shin is a Full Professor of School of Media and Communication at Chung-Ang University and a Distinguished Endowed Professor. Prior to Chung-Ang University, he was a former founding Chair of the Department Interaction Science at Sungkyunkwan University. As a Director of Interaction Science Research Center, he also served as a Principal Investigator of BK21 Plus, a national research project hosted by the Ministry of Education in Korea. Dr. Shinreceived his Master’s and Ph.D. degree from Syracuse University. He has served as an editorial board at 12 journals of internationally recognized journals including Telecommunications Policy,Computers in Human Behaviors, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communications, Information Processing and Management, Internet Research, Info, Journal of Information Policy, and Journalism Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Mobile Communications. He has served Associate Editor for Computers in Human Behaviors and Information Technology and People.
